Research begins with questions.
ISAR is currently developing a study on conception, pregnancy, birth, pregnancy loss, assisted reproduction, and legal adoption. The goal is to explore whether statistically detectable astrological correlations exist within these experiences and life events.
As the design team continue building the questionnaires and research, we are guided by several core values:
• Curiosity: asking questions that matter to astrologers, clients, and families.
• Open-mindedness: remaining receptive to what the data may reveal, even when it challenges our assumptions.
• Methodological rigor: defining clear objectives, inclusion criteria, and research boundaries.
• Collaboration: drawing on the experience and knowledge of astrologers from diverse traditions and backgrounds.
• Respect for complexity: recognizing that family-building experiences can take many forms and deserve thoughtful investigation.
One example of this commitment to methodological clarity is the decision to focus specifically on conception, pregnancy, birth, pregnancy loss, assisted reproduction, and legal adoption, while excluding other important but distinct family dynamics that would require a different research framework.
