In this short, Neil deGrasse Tyson explains how right ascension and declination work like a GPS for the sky. Since declination tells us how high or low a planet is, how have these 'vertical' coordinates changed how you interpret a chart?

It is the perfect primer for understanding the "vertical" dimension of your natal chart. While the zodiac shows where a planet sits along the horizon, declination reveals its height. High or low placement creates "out of bounds" intensity that regular horoscopes miss.
