In order to certify an Astrological School that can prepare students to pass the ISAR written Competency Exam, as part of its certification program for its members, ISAR requirs the following three things:

  1. A formal application form must be filled out in order to be considered a School that prepares students to pass the ISAR written Competency Exam
  2. School Curriculum
  3. ISAR officer(s) will visit the School and determine if the School fulfills all the necessary standards for this association with ISAR

Formal application

Formal application of the School provides ISAR with all the basic information of the type of the School. This is the first step and starting point for a relationship between the School and the ISAR certification process.

School Curriculum

School Curriculum is the core of the School and the essential part by which ISAR makes an association with the School, as one that prepares its students in subjects that are part of the ISAR Competency Exam.

In the School’s Curriculum it should be written how long it takes the student to complete their studies in the School, in years or School hours (If there are different levels of education, then all of them should be explained).

Visiting the School

Once the formal application and curriculum have been accepted by ISAR in recognition of a regular School, ISAR will send a special team of two or three representatives to the School to confirm conditions as stated in the application and curriculum.

Within a period of 3 days after the visit from the ISAR team, its opinion will be forwarded to both the ISAR Board and the School. If the School is accepted, ISAR will send a School Certificate indicating that the School fulfills ISAR standards, and the School will then receive all the benefits that go with such recognition.

If the School is not at first accepted, the team can give suggestions as to how the School can improve its standards.

Food and accommodation expenses for ISAR team during the 3 day visit are covered by the School and travel expenses are covered by ISAR.

Once a school has been recognized by ISAR standards

ISAR recognized Astrological Schools as Regular Full Standard School, Regular Elective Standard School, Correspondence Full Standard School, Correspondence Elective Standard School, Regular and Correspondence Full Standard School Regular and Correspondence Elective Standard School.

Each school is required to send their School reports once a year to the Chair of International Council.

A Certificate granted to a school is valid as long as that School sends in a yearly report to the Council, and every third year a check may be required by ISAR in order to continue Certificate recognition.
