ISAR Certification

To receive ISAR Certification (C.A.P. – Certified Astrological Professional via ISAR), one must complete the following steps:

  1. 1. Take an Astrological Ethics course (such as the ISAR Ethics Guidelines workshop), and then pass a one-hour ISAR Ethics exam
  2. 2. Take at least 20 hours of a Consulting Skills Training course (such as the ISAR Astrological Consulting Skills training course)
  3. 3. Pass the ISAR Competency Skills Exam (a 6-8 hour open book, written exam).

There is also an "experience" requirement to actually receive the CAP designation. One must be able to demonstrate 10 years of experience as a professional astrologer, or have graduated from an astrological school that offers courses in the 4 basic core areas of astrological studies, plus at least three electives. Documentation that these courses have been taken, plus sponsorship from the school head, must be submitted to ISAR.
