Certified Astrologers

Astrologers listed herein have been awarded the C.A.P. designation from the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR), are members of ISAR, and are available for professional consultations.

What is a C.A.P.?

Until November 2001 only astrologers with 10 years or more professional astrological experience, or a combination of experience and outstanding educational accomplishment, who provided verifiable references from their peers and participated in an ISAR Ethics Seminar, were awarded the ISAR C.A.P. designation.

New comprehensive criteria are being developed for future ISAR Certified Astrological Professionals.

Astrology as a profession currently has few standards. Some schools of astrology operate without adequate curriculums or staff, while people calling themselves "astrologers" hoodwink the public with non-astrological nonsense, and student astrologers with little real experience (but owning software or having taken a basic astrology course) practice without supervision. The public has little access to "real astrology" and legitimate practicing astrologers continually fight accusations of "witchcraft" and the public disrespect for "psychic scams" due to the proliferation of "pseudo-astrology". Therefore ISAR has taken the initiative to certify (definition: "to attest as being true") existing experienced professional astrologers as a public service.

As ISAR works towards seeing the vision of standards in astrology come true, we hope this group of Astrological Professionals, that we deem worthy of calling Certified Astrological Professionals, will champion the profession's need for Ethical and Educational Standards as well as continue to provide accurate astrological information to the public.
