To form a Chapter of ISAR a minimum of ten persons is required. These must be ISAR members in good standing. Request to form a Chapter is then made to the Board of Directors of ISAR. The reason for the formation of the Chapter should be given; (such as, provide a forum for seminars or to encourage research, etc.) The request will then be turned over to the ISAR Chapter Coordinator. You will be supplied with membership brochure forms and also membership applications.
The Chapter Coordinator will then forward to the Chapter Liaison person the necessary documents, for the signature of the minimum of ten members.
Written approval for the formation of the Chapter must be granted by ISAR. The chapter receives all the benefits of a non-profit corporation. If a bank account is opened the bank needs to know that ISAR, Inc. is a non-profit corporation incorporated on Dec. 5, 1979 in the State of California under Section 501 (c)(3). The employer identification number is 95-3502349. The California State registration number is D-0946971.
Chapters may host regional conference, become area examination headquarters, may set their own chapter membership dues as well as the frequency of their meetings. They may elect their own officers, President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and the Chapter Liaison person who will report semi-annually to ISAR.
Any and all actions taken by the chapter are subject to the approval and ratification of the parent organization which reserves the right to demand prior submission of any proposed project, activity, newsletter, etc. to the parent organization as a condition precedent to its commencement by the chapter.
A FAVORABLE CHART should be set up for the signing of the Chapter By-Laws. This is most important.
At the end of a fiscal year the treasurer must send an accounting of the income and expenses for the preparation of a tax return for the chapter.
If mailing labels are required for your area, we can provide them.
